The El Centro Elementary School District is excited to introduce Coco, a specially trained social-emotional comfort dog who will be spreading joy and offering support to students across all TK-8 campuses. With a gentle demeanor and a heart full of love, Coco’s mission is simple: to provide comfort, motivation, and emotional support to students in need.
Coco’s visits will be rotating across the District, offering a safe and welcoming presence to students facing stress, anxiety, or simply in need of a little extra encouragement. Research shows that animals can have a positive impact on emotional well-being, and Coco is here to lend a paw in creating a nurturing school environment where students can thrive.
Whether it’s a tough day in class, a big test, or just the need for a friendly face, Coco will be available to offer comfort and boost morale. Whether she’s sitting beside a student to calm nerves or offering a moment of play and joy, Coco is a reminder that emotional well-being is just as important as academic success.
We’re thrilled to welcome “Coco” to El Centro Elementary School District and look forward to seeing the positive impact she will have on our students, helping them navigate their emotions and continue to succeed both inside and outside the classroom.
