A Message from the Principal

Welcome back after a much needed break! We still have a long way to go. We will continue to do everything within our power to provide a premier educational experience for your child. It is imperative that students remain focused and ready to learn each day.  In addition, being in school and on time is essential.  There is so much to learn and so little time before the end of the school year.  We appreciate your support in providing the best for your child.

Listed below are our school rules.  Be continue to encourage your child to be a PeaceBuilder. De Anza Magnet is a Bully-free Zone.  The staff and I expect our students to follow school rules and to come to school ready to learn.  Thank you in advance for your support:)

1.  Follow directions

2.  Be prepared and on time (tardy = lunchtime detention)

3.  Keep hands, feet, and objects to yourself

4.  No bullying, teasing, or using bad language

5.  Follow the dress code (shirts tucked in at all times)

* No short shorts

* Leggings do not count as pants

* Jackets should be solid colors without logos

* Shirts need to have collars unless they are De Anza t-shirts

  * Hats should be solid colors without logos

In addition, please note that cell phones and electronic devices are not allowed at De Anza Magnet School without teacher/principal consent.  If students bring cell phones to school, they need to be off and in their backpacks until they are off campus.  If this rule is broken, the electronic device will be taken to the office for parent pick-up (24 hrs for the first offense, 1 month for second offense, remainder of the year for third offense (See Code of Conduct).  If your child needs to use their cell phone, they may come into the office to do so.  In addition, we are not responsible for any electronics that are damaged or missing.  Please leave valuable items at home!

We appreciate your assistance.  Our goal is to provide your children with a premier educational experience!

Mrs. Mason
